Our Brooklyn based ambulatory surgical center (www.brookplazaasc.com) is seeking a full time Office Clerk to join our team! The facility has 3 Operating Rooms with a concentrated focus on Ophthalmology and GI procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Insurance verification
- Patient chart assembly: Printing and assembling patient chart packs
- Enter cases: inputting patient information into Advantx system
- Operating telephones; answering, screening and directing calls. Provide information and taking messages
- Medical records: Filing, pulling, snaking charts, and purging all charts and scanning as needed
- Performs other office related duties as required
$20-23 per hour
Job Type: Full-time

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- At least one year of insurance verification experience required.
- At least one year of medical administrative work experience
- Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
- Must have the ability to work in a team and independently
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment
- Flexibility to work Sundays as needed
